The Park's Animals

Here is a glimpse of what you can see in the park depending on the season.

Red deer Red deer
European cousin of the wapiti; smaller but its antlers may grow over 20 horns.
Mouflon Corsican Moufflon
A very hardy and wild animal, sometimes prey to coyotes.

Native to Montana and Wyoming. Has perfectly well adjusted to this environment in which it has no ennemies.

Very impressive when climbing. Found in rocky areas.

The sight of a young fawn with its mother is a truly extraordinary scene.
Bison Bison
The largest ungulate. Lives in herds and prefers open grasslands.
Wild boar
This wild solitary pig, is native to Europe. He particularly loves marshlands.

These omnipresent, tireless lumberers manage to transform the landscape.

Several roam freely in the park. Others, donated by zoological gardens, are in enclosures to facilitate observation.
Racoons Racoon
These greedy creatures can be observed around the lakes or near the feeders.
Moose
Typically North American animal. They have been introduced into the Parc for the enjoyment of our visitors. Its the largest of the American deer family.
Moose Wolf
As for the wolves, they have been isolated for safety reasons. Their section has been expanded in the fall of 1998.
